Frequently Asked Questions
What is therapy with you like?
Sessions are conversational and paced to what feels manageable. We’ll spend time understanding what’s bringing you in, noticing patterns, and working through emotions and situations as they come up. I don’t follow a rigid script — we focus on what’s most relevant for you in each session.
Who do you work with?
I work with adults who are dealing with anxiety, stress, relationship challenges, and life transitions, and who want a space to better understand themselves and how they respond to things.
Do I need to know what I want to talk about?
No. Many people start therapy unsure of what they want to focus on. We can use the first few sessions to clarify what’s been feeling difficult and what you’d like support with.
How is therapy different from talking to a friend?
Therapy offers a space that’s focused entirely on you, with someone trained to listen for patterns, emotional responses, and ways of relating that might not be obvious in everyday conversation.
What if I’m not sure therapy will help?
It’s completely okay to be unsure. The first session is a chance to see how it feels to talk with me and whether this feels like a helpful fit for you. I also care a lot about creating a space where you can share what’s working for you and what isn’t. Therapy works best when we can talk openly about what you’re finding helpful, what feels off, and what you might want to do differently.
